The Cornerstone Presbyterian Church Job Search Support Group is a ministry to assist individuals who are seeking employment. The group has been serving the community for over ten years and provides job search techniques, tactics, strategies on conducting a job search in today’s business climate. In addition participants of the group are encouraged to support one another as they deal with the ups and downs of seeking employment.
The Job Search Support Group convenes each Thursday at 10:00am in the Library Conference room at Covenant Chapel Presbyterian Church located at 13300 Kenneth in Leawood, Kansas. Each session includes announcements regarding job leads, job fairs and networking events; a discussion topic focusing on job search tactics and strategies; and finally, each participant introduces themselves discussing the type of position they are seeking and any networking contacts that they are attempting to make. Each session lasts approximate 1½ hours.
The group has prepared a document “BE BOLD AND COURAGEOUS” A Guide For Conducting A Successful Job Search, which is available to job seekers who are entering the job market.
Our Mission Statement: “Provide opportunity to share job search techniques and experiences as well as support one another during job transition.”
