On Thursday, Aug. 22, at 12:30 p.m., in the Cornerstone library, our Sufficient Grace dementia caregivers will be hosting Courtney Goin, CNA/CMA, Community Liason for Care Haven Homes. Courtney will help us differentiate among independent living, assisted care, memory care, and skilled care, especially as applied in unique residential settings.
Sufficient Grace is a support group for families with a loved one affected by dementia. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month and is led by Barry Duwe and Gary Armour. The goal is to provide an intentional Christian context for caregivers of people affected by dementia, providing mutual support and encouragement based on personal experience and practical solutions. The two primary scriptures for the group are 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Galatians 6:2.
